i'm pregnant with an iud in place

i just found out that i am about 8 weeks pregnant. I've had an iud in place for about a year and i chose an iud because there were no side effects and since i have a history of blood clots and i have Lupus i felt it was the best choice. I already have a 1 year old daughter and i didn't really want any more children after her, mainly because of the risk. i am not sure whether there will be any complications and whether my body would be able to handle it. i am really scared and i don't know what to do. i've that if the risks are to high i might not go through with the pregnancy but i really can't decide. i just want it all to be ok... for me and the baby.

I would see a doctor and get it removed. I don't think it's healthy to have it in when you're giving birth, definitely.

Talk to your doctor about the risks and about what you can do to keep yourself and your baby healthy.
