No this can be normal. I have heard of cases where a girl does not start her period till she is 17. You won't start your cycle until your body "says" that it is ready to bear children.

Now I know, you are only 15 you are most likly not even thinking about kids right now. But there is one grear thing about the cycle That is. . . no matter how many other girls we know that are on their cycle or that aren't, your body doesn't fall in to peer presure. Razz

Each and every one of our bodies are different. Some of us start early, and some of us start later. There is no difference. Your body just seems to not be ready yet.

I had a friend that was 21 and still hadn't had a period and thought she would never get pregnant because of it and then she got really sick, went to the dr and found out she was 3 months pregnant. She is now 27 and no period. Some peoples bodies just work in weird ways. If you are worried though see a Dr about it. My period came at 11 years old then started going away because of Hormones and I found out at 19 after dealing with weird periods that I have cysts on both ovaries so there could be a medical reason for it.

I didn't start my periods until I was 17. At your age, I used to cry and worry and pray to god to make my body change. I wanted breasts and hips and a period, becuase I felt so different to all of the other girls at school.
The boys never took any notice of me, and it was SUCH a difficult time for me... When my period finally arrived, well, they're not all that we wish for!! Smile

So, please don't worry. IT will happen, and your body will change, and you will become a woman. And you know, there are a couple of good things about this! first up, there's less chance of cervical cancer in later life! We appreciate being a woman (because it felt like we waited a life time for it!) and then maybe in 15 years time, you'll be able to write a post like this, and help another young girl understand that they're not alone, and its not wrong and it IS totally normal....
And like a butterfly - I'm absolutely positive you'll emerge from this, a beautiful young woman, ready to knock the boys (who never noticed you), off their feet! - Thats What i did!!! Smile

I have a friend who is 15 and her period hasn't started and she thinks this is because she masturbates(This really isn't a joke). Could that be why her period hasn't started

I'm 21 and have only had one period in my life, at 19. The only time i get a period otherwise is when i'm on birth control. All my hormonal levels are normal so my doctor isn't too sure what's wrong. Did your friend ever find out why she is not getting her period at 27?

no everybody masturbates at one point,I even masturbate.Masturbation doesn't change anything unless she has long fingers and breaks her hymen
