Hello! I have had problems with passing stool for about a month now. I am taking fiber supplements but the problem is that I am passing very thin stool. It looks like a pencil-thin. Is it possible that I suffer from ibs? Please, advice!

Yes, people with ibs can experience changes in stool. One of the changes is passing thin stool. However, it doesn’t have to mean it is ibs. When I had this problem I had to do a colonoscopy, as constipation and thin stools are considered to be symptoms of more serious conditions also. They haven’t found anything on me. I increased my fiber and water intake, and everything turned out just fine. But, I think it would be good if you went to a doc and checked yourself.
