My mother has the sensation of "icicles running thru veins" in her groin area. It comes and goes. There is no associated pain. She has no known heart or circulatory issues. She has chronic bursitus in one hip. She's had one episode of sciatica a few years ago.
Her meds are:
otc vitamins
thyroid meds
lowest dose premarin 3x weekly
pain med (as needed) for bursitus
Is the sensation a blood flow issue? Or, is it more of a nerve issue?
Is this an indicator of anything significant?

I have the exact problem as your Mom. I am 59with no medical problems, but this strange sensatiob won't go away. I have not found an answr yet to the problem
