Mono is spread through the sharing of saliva mostly. As long as she wasn't exposed via this she should have no issues. However to be certain have her follow up with her doctor about the situation and possible risk factors, perhaps even testing.

ok i know this is an old post but i just couldn't help myself i had to reply. First off Mono is a viral infection which CAN be spread by being exposed from someone you DO NOT have to switch saliva I had mono and was in the hospital NOBODY could come in my room unless you had protective wear on.....
