im having a vaginal discharge thats a yellow color and smell

A couple of weeks ago i started to feel a little wet down there
as if i had started my period..but the only thing was that i didnt start
i saw a yellow discharge on my underwear and it smelled funny,
im not too sure what it is i was going through the posts to get some help but im stuck ive never had a yeast infection before so im not too sure..and if so im afraid i think ive passed this infection or something to my boyfriend....
someone please help me with this problem!!

Men will hardly ever get yeast infection through sex. I mean it is said that yeast could be spread back and forth between partners but men are rarely treated for yeast when a woman gets diagnosed with it.

The yellow, funny smelling discharge does sound like yeast infection but it may even be bacterial vaginosis or something else, so you better see a doc before you do something about it.
