In contrast to an earlier post, the newest studies HAVE found a connection between immune system suppression and heavy marijuana use.

As far as brain altering, it has been shown to medically kill brain cells. However, most recent studies have shown that the mental deficits associated with long-term, chronic use tend to disappear after a period of not using, as opposed to those with chronic alcholism who after quitting tend to have continued deficits.
