| I would like to know about incidence of heart attacks in SLE. I have been diagnosed with SLE a month ago, and I am still trying to reorganize my life so that I could deal more easily with this disease. I am a bit over weighted and I have been having these tachycardia attacks from time to time. EKG never showed anything unusual, just as examination by cardiologist. Still, I am worried. |

| Well, I cannot lie and say that there is no greater risk for a heart attack now, then before the SLE came. Myocarditis could happen, also thrombosis of blood vessels – these two are main causes of heart attacks. Still, with organized life (which you are working on), including diets, exercises, therapies, you might evade this outcome. |
