Hello...

I have genital herpies for two years now. My current boyfriend has the same. We have unprotected sex. Recently, I have had several UTI"s and a few yeast infections in a short amount of time (1 month). I have been prescribed Focalin xr 20 mg while also taking (prescribed)Hydrocodone. Now, I have an inflamed vulva with no itching or burning as well as no discharge. There is a slight irration with the inflamed vulva. I have no health insurance and need your help. Please advise...

Considering that inflamed vulva is one of the yeast infection signs, you could try another anti-fungal treatment but personally I would never do things on my own.
First of all, you didn’t say if you had a follow-up to check if your infections (UTI and yeast) had cleared. Secondly, the irritation could be also due to UTI, a reaction to any of the drugs you have been taking (if started recently) or something third or forth.

This is why I always advocate consultations with a doctor to make sure you are treating the right stuff because prolonged infection (both yeast and bacterial) could progress and lead to complications. And you and your boyfriend may be passing Candida back and forth to one another, so you should have it checked.
Even if you knew it was yeast, there is a question of which drug to use, oral, vaginal cream or a vaginal suppository, for how many days and what dosage. There is a difference about how these drugs work and areas they would affect.
