Intermediate uveitisc affects the area just behind the ciliary body and also the most forward edge of the retina. This term is used to denote an idiopathic inflammatory syndrome mainly involving the anterior vitreous, peripheral retina, and ciliary body, with minimal or no anterior segment or chorioretinal inflammatory signs.
