| I have been experiencing intestinal bloating and severe pain off and on for six months. I have celiac disease and have been following a strict gluten free diet for three years. However, this seems to be something different. I thought it might be diet related, but I cut out lactose, eggs, and several other things throughout the last six months and nothing seems to help. I also kept a food diary and could find no consistencies in diet that might be causing the severe pain. The only consistent thing I have found is that if I lay down two hours or sooner after eating and then stand back up again, my stomach immediately bloats. Or, if I am laying on one side and roll over the the other side, my stomach bloats up quickly again. The pain and bloating doesn't go away for at least 2-3 hours and the whole time my belly is rumbling and distended. Does anyone have similar symptoms? I need advice/suggestions desperately!!
