here is my problem......i started my period early after using metrogel,, it ended and came back. Phone consult with doc and doc said start Yasmin brth control pill, i did and it seemed to make bleeding worse, one week later i am still bleeding and this telephone consult the nurse wants me to stop the ppill and start megestrol 40mg (progesterone) but i do not want to because i am afraid. Can i just stop taing the birth control alltogether and just hope to go back to normal. Maybe i should have left it alone in the first place? i am beggining to feel anemic.

from what you described, this is called breakthrough bleeding,

when you first start birth control there is a little irregular bleeding but it dies down after a few weeks! and you are left with a lovely, dead on regular cycle! it's so regular I know that I will stop taking my pill 5pm thurdsay, and I start my period between 10pm and 1am saturday night! and when I first went on the pill my period lasted 17 days too.

perhaps, You just need to give it a bit of time to settle down and your body to adjust to the pills.
