Im a mother an 11 year old boy and since he was around 5 years old we believed it was best to retract his foreskin for washing purposes. It caused him quite a bit of discomfort so we stopped doing it. He is now 11 and is unable to pull the skin back over his glans. It seems to be quite scared and very tight. I now know that we shouldn't have attempted to wash under his foreskin at such an early age. Hindsight is a great thing!
Our doctor has recommended a circumcision for him and my husband is in agreement (he is circumcised). I'm not sure if this is the best thing for him. I have been told that it is a very simple operation for him as he hasn't started puberty yet. Im really not sure what to do!
Any help or advice would be very welcome
