My mother got indomethacin for her back pain. The pain of hers is constant and so hard but she needs some sort of relief. I suppose that she will need to take this medicine for a long time. That is why I am interested if indomethacin, is it addictive? I used it occasionally, and everything was OK but what happens in term use?
Indomethacin if used occasionally cannot provoke any addiction at all. But if it is used for long time, especially in older people (such is your mother, I suppose) it may provoke central nervous system adverse effects. After some time of using you may notice vertigo, depression, anxiety, muscle weakness etc. If any of this occurs, take your mother to her doctor as soon as possible.
