is it because of my weight?

im 16 years old and am overweight, i wouldn't say im bad looking but i am overweight. I'v never had a girlfriend, iv talked to loads and have lots of really good female friends who i love. I do try and flirt with women, but it never goes anywhere, iv never had a girl whos interested in me in 'that' way and i dont understand. Im a good guy, i don't do nasty things to people, i try and help them when i can. Nomatter what i do i cant get a girlfriend, my friends can do it.

and no, im not one of these stupid shallow, vain people who only goes for the super-hotties in the world. I try it with girls who i can talk to and have stuff in common with. my thinking is that its my weight thats causing me problems with women, i am losing it, slowly but i just wanna know, am i gonna have to wait till its all gone to get a date? i dont want that becuase it'll be a good year. i feel im missing out on so much.

I dont think its your weight.. im 18, so not much older than you and i my boyfriend is over weight. the girls that wont go on a date with you arent really worth it, they will be the sad, shallow girls who care more sbout the outside than the inside. to be honest getting a girlfriend that you get on with really well with and fall in love iwht means you might have to wait for a bit.
When you talk to a girl font be too flirty and expecially dont talk about sex or related sex stuff... it usually scares girls off... apart from that be yourself and see what happens... but i dont think your weight should affect it. although i would say losing weight can only help not only in getting a girlfriend but also you health Very Happy

I used to be overweight, not by much but i was. I guess i almost had quiet the opposite of you. Girls almost wouldn't STOP hitting on me. Then I lost a lot of weight, about 30 pounds, and suddenly all the girls stopped. I was a bit confused..to say the least Shocked

. That struck me as odd that women found me more attractive with a gut, then without one.

Now however i have been dating the same girl steadily and we are very happy with each other

Now im not skinny, but im not super overweight either.

If you just keep being yourself, you shouldn't worry, you will find someone Very Happy

Brother, let me explain something to you. The first impression people are going to have of you are going to be visual. If you're a fat guy, a guy with boogers on his shirt, or bald or anything else people will automatically make a judgement of you. For most people that judgement can quickly be changed once they get to know you, for others it can't.

Even if you're the nicest guy in the world you're still going to be the nicest FAT guy in the world (or the nicest bald guy, or the nicest white guy or whatever)

I say this from experience. I dated some wonderful and incredible women while in college. My weight at the time was a little more than 400 pounds (I never dated a woman over a size Cool

. It took me a while to gain the self confidence to get them to know me well enough to get past my size, and to boost their self confidence where they quit being concerned about people talking about the fat guy she was with.

Now, after making an serious effort and getting my weight down to 210 let me tell you...WOMEN ARE EASY. If you can get to the self-confident point where you can get dates while big you'll literally have women falling at your feet if you lose the weight. Trust me, my friends who've been average sized their whole lives have NOTHING on what I can pull off in a bar or a football game or at Wal-Mart.

So, don't sweat being a big guy...it'll work out in it's time.
