is it better to use antihistamines and decongestants together or alone?

My sister has a problem with her runny nose. We think that she is suffering from allergic rhinitis. She is allergic to pollen but she has never gone to doctor to see what the best treatment is for her. Can somebody tell me is it better to use antihistamines and decongestants together or alone?

I think that it’s better when you use antihistamines and decongestants together. I can tell you that from my experience with allergic rhinitis. Antihistamine drugs reduce the allergy symptoms, sneezing, itching eyes and runny nose While decongestants help narrow the blood vessels, reducing congestion in the nose. You can find these medications over–the–counter.
