is it harder to conceive after a conization? Have no more cervical mucus

It seem I am "dry" now since the conization one year ago. It was a fairly big piece they cut out - so I am told. Will this obstruct my wanting to get pregnate? How important is the mucus? I also took hormones three months ago. Perhaps this has interfered with my cycle (mucus production)?
