Posted: 04/09/07 - 11:49 Post subject: is it likely 2 get pregnant right after stopping the pill?
i was on the pill norimin for 5 months, and the first time i tried to skip my period was in late feb. it didnt work well- i had a light period (or brown discharge) for the whole month until my next period came properly. i took my last pill on the 15th and my period came on the 17th (i would have started taking the inactive tablets on the 16th). i had unprotected sex a couple of days after my period finished and my boyfriend ejaculated inside me that time, and ive had unprotected sex a few other times since then but he's put a condom on before he ejaculated. (i know its not a valid form of birth control to use the withdrawal method or anything like that but we do not mind if we have a baby). how likely is it that i would be pregnant since its right after stopping the pill?? ive noticed a few things over the past 2 weeks which could be related to pregnancy: swollen/tender breasts, frequent urination, lower back pain, tiredness and bloating. but my period isnt due til the 17th so its too soon to take a test. i have this feeling its all in my head cos ive been told its really unlikely to get pregnant right after stopping the pill.
is this true????
thanks 2 anyone who replies, i really appreciate it!
