is it safe to stop taking klonopin after only 10 days and a very low dosage

I have multiple things going on - no thyroid and having unbalance thyroid hormones and I just started hormone replacement therapy for my menapause. My thyroid doctor and ob/gyn are working together and both feel since I suffer from SEVERE anxiety and I am already taking Xanax and since I started the klonopin I am waking up after 5 hours of sleep with worse symptoms that it could be a drug intereaction from the klonopin to come off of it - it is not helping just making things worse along with it could be impacting my hormones and thyroid issues.
I have only been on it 10 days. During the week I took .5 at bedtime and last weekend 1mg. I have been on .5 all this week. Is it safe to just stop taking it or should I break it in half for a couple of days and then stop?
Also what are the side effects at this point - will they be horrible since
I am on such a low dosage?

If you are also on Xanax, you shouldnt have a bit of trouble. I was prescribed both at one time, and then the doctor decided to take me off the Klonopin. I had been on it for a good while, and I was fine. Even if you werent on the xanax, at such a low dose over such a short time, you would still be ok to quit it. But I am also not a doctor, and if you dont feel safe just quitting it, by all means cut em in half just to be safe. But I think you should be fine.
