I am suffering from attention deficit disorder (ADD) and my doctor has prescribed me a Ritalin. I have trouble with proper dosage that will affect on me and help me relieve my attention. My doctor has recommended 30mg in divided doses 2 or 3 times daily, approximately 30 to 45 minutes before meals. What is your suggestion? Isnt this too much of Ritalin?
No, it is not. Dosage depends of patients age. Therefore, all I can say to you is that recommended doses for adults are 20 to 30 mg daily. In some cases, patients may require 40 to 60 mg daily. Usually daily dose is divided in 2 to 3 equal doses. One more thing, always take it before meal.
