Posted: 03/07/08 - 12:21 Post subject: itchy, kind of burning sensation in my vagina.. I have no id |
|
|
It seems like it all started after having a lot of sex in one day, and the following day my vagina was itchy, kind of burning, maybe swelling.. no discharge and i'm unusually dry.. I didn't really think much of it the first day but it's starting to get annoying, it's only been like 3 days though.. My boyfriend and I tried to have sex again and I couldn't because it hurt too much..
My boyfriend and I lost our virginity's to eachother.. so I don't think it's because of an STD..
I'm only 16 and have never had any yeast infections or anything like that.. and I dont really know who to be asking about this.. I live with my dad and it's not really a father-daughter thing I want to talk about lol.
Anyone know waht's happenign to me lol? |

| I really feel that you do have a Yeast Infection. Some people do not experince all the symptoms when they get a yeast infection. This is not an STD. I would recommend a monistat product they have helped me in the past. A yeast infection is an overgrowth of yeas that my mormally live in the vagina, so don't be scared. |

You probably just irritated the inside of your vagina from all of the
sex. You did not mention an odor or discharge so it will probably
go away in a few days. Lay off of the sex until you heal. Stores are
selling a new at home test for yeast infections. Sorry I forgot the name
but I'm sure you can find it in Walmart if you looked for it near the vaginal
creams and stuff. There is no need to treat yourself for a yeast infection
if you dont have one. Your vagina has good bacteria that fights off infection. If you take medicine you dont need then you could kill some of the good guys in there. So just wait a few days. If it doesnt go away get the at home test. (ask the walmart pharmacist about it if you cant find it. they are usually willing to come out and help you look.) Good luck. |

| You're welcome. I didn't have a big sis to help me out. I learned a lot of things the hard way. (I didnt know about things like steadyhealth.com either.) I actually ran into this website accidentally, but I'm glad I did. Good luck. |

okay, so i decided i wasn't going to do anything about it, because i had a doctors appt scheduled for the next week about birth control, so i was going to have to have a pap test. and it had kinda gone away.. or setteled down at the very least, so the day of my appt the doctor (wasn't even my doctor, she was sick that day >;[ ) asked me if anything had been bothering me and i said that i was itchy and kind of a burnyy feeling so she got a urine sample from me , but never mentioned anything else about anything after she was finished the pap test and stuff.. and .. well, wouldn't she have said something? and i haven't had a call back or anything, and it's been over a week.. but it hasn't completely cleared up or anything..
so.. should i just go for the yest infection theory and take the test..
actually in writing this i kind of realized that it's a stupid question and just go for it lol but oh well.. |
