itchy bumps on labia that hurt to wipe

sleeping with guy for a littel while, had sex without condom once- day after itchy..noticed paper like cut on vagina lip- assumed it was from sex. 6 weeks later woke up shaking with muscle pain- only lasted the one night...assumed it was the flu. It now been 6 weeks since that and i have a couple bumps on my inner labia..its sore to wipe but i assumed that is because my labia is pretty inflamed. went and saw a emergency room dr and a walk in physician both said it didnt look like herpes but did viral swab anyways....i am going nuts waiting two weeks for the results so i thought i would get other peoples opinions- could it just be a really bad yeast or bacterial infection...i thought you could only get bumps from herpes.
