itchy irritated tongue

Last week I burned myself with hot milk. Since now I advise everybody to be careful when drinking hot milk, it is one of the worst things that can happen to your mouth. I have got burns all over my mouth. And now also itchy and irritated tongue. What should I do? Should I go to a doctor?

I think this will pass and your tongue is in a healing process, that is why itches. If that happen week ago and if you got infected, the infection would break out sooner. Maybe you can just call doctor and describe the situation, maybe there are some creams or something that could help you. But as far as I can remember, the healing process when I get my mouth and tongue burned (and I never did that with milk, for which I heard is the worst), takes more than a week.
