I can’t say what it is with certainty. Considering you haven’t been to a gynecologist for a year, it is high time you went. Every woman should have at least one a year gynecological appointment no matter whether she is having sex or experiencing symptoms and problems or not.
If your jelly-like discharge appears mainly before periods, it may be normal then, because I myself have very heavy discharge before I would get a period.
But the question is…what if you’ve been caring an infection around for a year.
Bacterial infections (others as well) may be very dangerous, bacteria can travel up to other urinary tract organs and cause more serious damage. This is why I think it is high time you saw a doc.
