ketamine infusion is working for me

I was in the emergency room last night and they gave me infusion
of ketamine but it only worked some. They were going to admit me but I couldn’t face it. I said I am ok I am going home, so they were frustrated as there is no plan in my file and it was a Saturday and the pain team doesn’t work. My pain doc took me off oxycodone so I have to take ketamine all day. It has just occurred to me I have no breakthrough meds....so the whole thing frustrates me....I am not sure it’s working for me

I am currently on ketamine for the pain and the pain doc wont give me oxy as he wants to wait another 3 weeks. Meanwhile I am in and out of hospital being admitted for flares in my pain every week or so going onto a suncutneous infusion 500 mg of ketamine and 15 mg of midazolam plus all the other meds. She fears I will toss all my pills away. Anyway it is working for me.
