I found out recently that I have kidney stones. Fortunately, they are discovered on time so I started with treatment immediately. I am interested to know what the kidney stone is made of. How can they occur in the kidneys?

A kidney stone is a hard mass. It is developed from crystals that separate from the urine and build up on the inner surfaces of the kidney. Urine contains chemicals that prevent or inhibit the crystals from forming, but these inhibitors do not seem to work for everyone. However, some people form stones. They may contain various combinations of chemicals, oxalate or phosphate.
