Hi, I am diagnosed with pneumonia caused by Klebsiella pneumonia. How serious is this condition? I have urinary infections reoccurring often and get flu every winter.

Hi, pneumonia is serious and needs time and patience to be cured. Since you are prone to infections, your immunity is not on satisfactory level. Maybe, it’s just too much work and stress, not enough sleep or other routine things, which can bring organism out of equilibrium. klebsiella pneumonia is bacteria, which has the word pneumonia in it’s name. That says enough for itself. But klebsiella pneumonia can be reason for urinary tract infections, wound infections, even bacteriemia (bacteria infected blood) and meningitis. Diarrhea can commonly have it’ cause in enterotoxic strains of Klebsiella pneumonia.
