Hi, I have a kid, 10 years old girl, with a lack of concentration. She used to read a lot, but now seems to be not interested in any activity, because she can`t focus on a game, or a book. Her grades in school were pretty good, but now degrading. I know that child need to live healthy, like we all do, and am taking care that she has a hot meal every day and good night sleep. It just seems that she can`t put her focus on anything. What to do?

Hi, had a same problem, although being on a balanced diet. I`ve stopped eating so many sweets, but still I had this awful lack of concentracion (a year ago I was trying to learn French, but couldn`t concentrate at all) It started soon to affect my whole life, all I did was sleeping and doing nothing. But, then I heard that the lack of iron could be the cause of my condition. lacking concentration can be a symptom of iron deficiency. In Western countries the incidence of iron deficiency can be 20% in young children and in adolescents. In the case of many nutrients, sub-clinical deficiencies are not that serious, but when we talk abot the iron, the lack of it can affect on behaviour or development.
