Hello! I have been prescribed lamictal for my bipolar disorder. When I looked for the info on this drug, it says it is used for complex partial seizures, and not bipolar disorder. Why did I also get this drug? Is it possible that it is used for both disorders or is there a mistake? Thank you!

Hi! My sister suffers from complex partial seizures and is taking lamictal. I once read in an article, and was also surprised, that lamictal had antidepressant activity in patients with bipolar depression. So, I suppose that your case shows us this is not a mistake.
