My wife had laparoscopic gull bladder surgery just 6 days ago but is experiancing some swelling and bloating in her stomach area...is this a normal side affect from the surgery...it is located on her left side..otherwise she feels fine....thanks in advance...

Swelling is normal - the surgeons pump your abdomen with air while they're operating.
