laparoscopic prostate surgery post op problems

2 weeks ago I had laparoscopic prostate surgery and have had a very slow recovery. The problem that I'm having now since my catheter was removed about 5 days ago is the painful burning sensation that I get at the tip of my penis whenever I pass urine. It's so bad that it stops me from having a strong flow. I don't don't know what to do about this other than not drinking liguids, which is not an option. Does anyone know if this will ever end and when?

My husband is also experiencing this complaint now after six weeks so much so that the doctor is going to do some investigatory surgery to make sure nothing else is wrong. He did get an infection after the catheter was removed but apparently this has cleared up but he is still is pain and frequently urinating. Very disheartened.
