hello! I have been suffering from hemorrhoids for quite some time. Whenever I think of passing stool I get a headache. Unbelievable how one normal and common process can give us so much trouble? Warm baths would give only temporarily relief and nothing else. My friend recommended me laser surgery for hemmoroids. Is there anybody who knows how this works? Thank you!

Hi there! This procedure is called Laser Coagulation and is quite new. It involves the application of an electric current to the hemorrhoids. The electric current, emitted by an electrode probe, triggers a chemical reaction that shuts down the blood supply in the hemorrhoid and causes the inflamed tissue to shrink. My husband has also problems with hemorrhoids and he is also thinking of this procedure. Good luck to you!

Hi, I'm looking for someone int he Detroit Metro area to have laser surgery done on hemmoroids. From previous visits to my doctor I found I have three exterior hemmorroids with no interior ones. The discomfort level has become quite high and working full time I need to get something done quickly. I am experiencing bleeding which is at times heavy. Is there an office for treatment in the 734 or 313 area code? Is this an outpatient proceedure? I would like to get treatment as soon as possible and I've heard that the laser proceedure would be best suited for my schedule. Thank you.
