Hi I was wondering if anybody could help. 5 years ago I started having to cut down my meal intake considerably to one meal a day as I found after eating I became extremely tired distended stomach classic IBS symtpoms etc. A few months ago i started to get sharp pain in the lower left hand side of my stomach. The doctor felt lumps which he said were very bad constipation and that for many years my intestine hadnt been getting rid of food. I was put on a course of laxatives, high fibs drinks, meberverine, and docusate. Although I managed to finally get my stomach empty now I have started to introduce foods slowly my symptoms are alot worse. My stomach is so distended its painful to breath and although I am hungry my stomach cant take anymmore food. After eating I have a 'crash' in which fifteen minutes later my muscles feel very heavy, Im disorientated and need to lie down were I prompty fall into a deep sleep for half an hour. By vision is blurred and Im experiencing mood swings migraines, and Im constantly tired. The only time I feel better is when I dont eat. It takes about a week of liquids only to empty my stomach completely. My doctor keeps saying its just a lazy bowel but I have tried everthing and its only getting worse. Any ideas?
