Hello! I have had a leep procedure done 2 weeks ago and am now experiencing strange vaginal discharge, which is brown in color and has a funny odor. Is this normal after a leep procedure or could it be an infection? Thanx

Hi there! Vaginal discharge after the leep procedure is quite normal actually. It can be white, yellow, brown, smooth or with lumps. The funny odor may go along with it. The discharge is due to a healing process of the cervix, and will disappear after some time. If it doesn’t, you may consult your gynecologist, as it may happen that you have developed vaginitis, but vaginitis is successfully treated with some creams, so you have nothing to worry about.
