liquidy brown blood while on birth control pills

Hey evryone

I am 22 years old and have been on birth control pills since september... i switched pills about 5 months ago... last week i had to double up bc i had missed a pill.... but i was already spotting here and there for almost a week... now its been over 2 weeks and im still bleeding except now its a weird brown color and very liquidy... my friend told me this happened to her sister and she was pregnant...

should i be concerned? i dont have any signs of pregnancy though
