I have heard that regimen of birth control pills, or scheduling a hysterectomy are two very common medical solutions for heavy bleeding and long menstrual cycles. Before I ask my doctor to prescribe something like this to me, I want to try a natural solution. I was thinking it might be the answer, which I have been looking for. That is why I was wondering if someone could tell me more about my problem with long menstrual cycles, which lasts for 7 days. Is there any natural solution to fix this problem?

I think your problem is the same as my sister had since she started to bleed. She had hard bleeding and long menstrual cycles. I had to remember this problem is called menorrhagia, and it may be caused by some problems such as fibroids, cysts, and tumors. I have to say that there are two systems in the body, which seem to have a particularly strong effect on how much bleeding occurs. One of those systems that determine how long menstrual cycles will lasts is the endocrine system, and the other is the liver. The thyroid plays a very important part in the endocrine system, and nourishing and balancing the thyroid should not be ignored in such a cases. If you suffer of long periods, PMS and cramps, you should include good food in your diet. Foods high in vitamins and trace minerals seem to promote good thyroid health and fix a problem a little bit. The Calcium-Rich Tea is suggested for PMS and cramps, and it is a good choice for menorrhagia. Thais is because this product is high in vitamins and minerals, especially iron and B12.
