I went to the country side with my wife for a weekend and I forgot to take my lorect back pain killer I have been using for the last 6 months. We were in a hurry and I totally forgot to check if I brought them. What I experienced there without the drugs is a horror. I had sweats, shakes, and was so tired and weak, that I made my wife drive me back to the town to get the drugs. Does this mean I have developed addiction? Were these withdrawal symptoms? How on earth, will I manage to lose this drug then?

What you have numbered are typical withdrawal symptoms from pain killers. Tapering is the best way to do it and not cold turkey as it was in your “forgotten” case. I would even suggest you advising your doctor about getting off the drug. He may prescribe something else for you in order to manage these withdrawal symptoms. Good luck!
