lower back ache and brown spotting week before period

Hello,
I am 27 years old and married. I have the lower back pain I normally have the day of my period and I had brown spotting with a little thick discharge in it today. I start my period in about 4-7 days. What could this mean? Thank you for your quick reply.

I have noticed a Brown, thick and lumpy discharge in my knickers today. I am due for my period on Friday 25 August? Is this normal?
