I'm 19, 5'3", 17 weeks pregnant and have a pain and lump in my abdomin on my left side around the hip area. What could this be? The pain subsides when I'm standing. The pain is most intense when I lay down on my left side and lessens when I lay on my right side. It just started a few days ago. Doctor doens't know but thinks it ligament stretching but then why the lump?

Hmmm…I think only the ultrasound could tell you about what is in there. Is this lump present there all the time or it just comes and goes? How big is it? Has your doctor checked you out or he just made a guess?
I can’t precisely tell you what could this be, especially not because I can’t see it with my own eyes. But, I have been wondering if this lump you feel could be your baby hitting you from inside, it is still to small, but you can feel the moves of it in this period of your pregnancy. Have you felt the moves already? I think you could feel the baby moving in the 4th month.
Anyways, is the pain you feel inside the stomach or it’s something under the skin or on the skin? Could you please describe the pain more thoroughly so maybe someone else could answer your question.
Good luck with your pregnancy!!
