Is lupus drug induced? I have been dealing with SLE disease for almost a year now and at the same time, I have been taking medications for arrhythmia. Can these two be connected? Doctors said that it is all right, but I am still not that certain. How am I going to check on that? Any suggestion, I would appreciate any help?

There are many medications that can induce several symptoms that overlap with those of SLE, and that are gone after the end of the therapy (muscle pain, joint pain, fatigue, fever etc). Then again, there are drugs that can really cause the emerging of SLE (usually those medications used for long-term therapies, such as Pronestil, Apresoline and Quinidine). These are just three of almost 40 medications known to induce lupus.
