What is lupus nephritis? Which are sings and symptoms? Two days ago, doctors have done some test on my brother and finally diagnosed SLE. They said is treatable? Is there something they did not tell us? My father has SLE, but some mild form of disease. Is there possibility that I have it too but not expressed yet?

Lupus nephritis is a kidney disease caused by systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). lupus nephritis may or may not give symptoms of disease, but it can be seen as swelling around the eyes, legs, ankles or fingers, also as weight gain, high blood pressure and changes of urine. lupus nephritis can occur only when enough amount of autoantibodies are deposited in the glomeruli of kidneys.
