Hi, I’m just curious on one thing... From what I could find on the net, an enlarged lymph node in one of the armpits can be a symptom of recurrence, even though this is not very common. But, if it still does happen, shouldn’t the enlarged node be painless?? Also, shouldn’t it develop slowly? The thing is that I have one very painful note in my right armpit and I’m curious to find out what that might be.

Hi there. First I have to ask you if you are positive it is a lymph node? I ask this because lymph nodes swell for all kinds of reasons, but mostly due to infection. Even a cancer is one of the possibilities. So, what I would strongly recommend you, especially if it doesn't go away in a couple of days, is to see your doc to have it checked. In that case maybe you should consider a biopsy as well. Best of luck.
