Hello. I'm 19 year old female and I don’t know what to do now. I was never in a situation like this one and I don’t know how to behave.
Just recently I've slept with one guy for the first time and it was great. We used protection and I wasn’t worried at all. But later, some symptoms occurred that made me think about possible pregnancy.
You see, I started to feel some breast tenderness and sickness, and my period is missing for a week now.
Now, I have always had irregular periods and that’s why I don’t know is this some pregnancy sign or nothing related to that. How could I be sure? I haven’t mentioned anything about this to my parents and I need quick information!

Hello. I don’t know what to tell you about all this. You have certainly mentioned almost all typical pregnancy symptom and that’s why I'm not so sure that this could be something irrelevant. There are two options for you right now- contact your gynecologist for a proper evaluation or buy your self a home pregnancy test. They are very accurate because when a woman is pregnant; her body produces a hormone called human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). This hormone may be detectable in a woman's urine or blood as early as the first day of a missed period. I have read somewhere that these tests are 97% to 99% accurate. They are not so expensive and you need to do to quickly. If your home pregnancy test is negative, test yourself again within a few days to 1 week.

So you are 16 and think you are pregnant? You also want to break the news to your parents. My advice to you would be... RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. I really hope this is helpful for you. Good Luck |

I would suggest taking a preganancy test before you tell your parents that you have been sexually active....If it comes out neg, wait another week and retest just to be sure.....If you are then you need to tell your parents so that you could get the proper prenatal care...Wish You The Best Of Luck!!!!!!!!!!!! |
