| I agree with the 2nd person and sean cause I started smoking weed when I was 12 all throughout jr high, high school, and college and I was still able to be a very good athlete my whole life and had no problem when it came to school and lifting weights. Weed is not a bad drug. If you think it is a bad drug then you have never done drugs. In fact you can probably count the number of times you've smoked on all ten of your lil fingies. Being that weed is not legal yet, I've decided to finally quit due to the fact that I'm taking all of the county and city police tests in 6 months. Also I realized that I'm only 23 and I've been smoking weed for over a decade so it probably is a good idea to quit weed and cigarettes for health reasons. SEAN if i think of how much money I've spent on weed over the years? Shit I would probably have a house in the hamptons by now. If not two houses. Peace peeps...P.S.....Dont Do Drugs [matt] |

i've been smoking since i was 17 and i'm 37 right now i work out daily because at this age you need to work to keep in shape smoking doesn't stop me, i work out with a trainer and everything and i keep up with him and the funny thing is that when i first started working out with my trainer i thought it would be a good idea to not smoke on the days i was going to meet with him, until one day i forgot my rule and i was completely fine i didn't do a better work out nor a worse.... maybe its because i haven't smoked a blunt since i was 20 and i heard they f*** with your body but my vaporizer and bong sure been good to me, thats all i have to say

| i think it all depends on how you smoke. ive found if i smoke jsut enough to get a nice buzz i pretty much do things better. i pay attention in way more detail. it gets me thinkin. smoking has pretty much changed my life, i have a whole new out look onlife from it. it does have bed parts to it, but so do alot of good things. so idk all depends on your state of mind i think. |

|

I have been lifting seriously for about three years. I smoke marijuana on occasion (once a week, max) and I have not felt a difference in my lifting intensity or work ethic. Motivation and determination are the key in anything you enjoy. If you were a track runner or swimmer, I would advise you to narrow if not completely quit smoking because you will feel the effects of inhaling deep smoke. Moderation is the key.

The best way to work out is high, and I have proven that. My wait is about 160 and I bench well over 300 pounds. I got this strong with the help of mary jane every one of the 10 years that I've been lifting my ass off in the gym. It definitely gives me motivation in the gym by making me want to lift harder, and not talk to every one as much; being high while at the gym gives you that extra concentration on the exact muscle that you are working on; I get the best pumps ever and the greatest feeling when I'm done that I recommend it to everyone.
The pathetic, little, and weak people that don't agree with us will never be a true bad ass in the gym, because they simply can't get the massive pump and true feeling of their own muscles' capabilities as they could if they were high. I know, I've lifted not high and it does not even compare, so eat it !!!!! Just because you're a bowflex and arobics using bitch thats scared of being high in public don't try to pass your uneducated beliefs on to any one else, I have proof. What's yours #2 and who do you work for!!
Ha ha ha ha ha !!! |

I disagree a huge deal with most of y'all. Most of you are under the american propaganda that 'weed' is somehow worse than alcohol. Yet if you were to drink all day everyday you'd be fuckin dead in the hospital or in the grave. I smoke weed every day, i go to school and I get A after A after A. I go to the gym four times a week.
Weed only makes you be lazy if you LET it get to you. I must admit it isn't for everyone either so please don't go trying what i do either, its true in my case but i'm not sure if everyone could do the same thing, its well known that medications have way different affects on different people.
All drugs have side effects, most prescription drugs over long-term use are just as bad as weed, if not worse.
Sure its not healthy for your lungs, so if you don't smoke, or ain't down with smoking in any way then of course you're gonna hate it. Anyways I'm off to the gym, gonna smoke a joint right after and go to the canucks game.
i just came across this as i was curious as to the effects of weed on weight loss and whether or not marijuana does things in and of itself (not by me munching out) that causes me to gain or lose weight, or have some kind of toxic effect that bleeds into my fat and stuff like that but so far no luck finding anything concrete. |

| i am an advent smoker and love to get blazed out of my mind before i hit the gym or go do my cardio. I never get crazy pumps unless i am ripped. it helps me put the mind in the muscle more and concentrate and visualize. as far as effecting cardio that is no problem . i will blaze a fatty and go ride 60 miles on my bike. i hate all those people that say oh it makes me this or that . the real fact of the matter is that you are just looking for an excuse to be a typical lazy american. suck it up and deal with it. as for asking if it is a good idea or not , no one can tell you why cause they are not in your body. listen to your body it will tell you what it likes and doesn't like. as for me ill be puffin , pumping, swimming , and riding till the end. |
