I am just coming DOWN right now. The past 6 hours have easily been the worst of my life. I've been taking zoloft for 3 week. I decided to smoke pot today for the first time in quite awhile. Within 10 minutes I was having the worst panic attack feelings I've ever experienced. I couldn't concentrate on anything it felt like my reality had turned into a choatic disco ball of random thought with a back ground noise of pure panic. I thought I was going to die. I had the 'come to grips' with it moment and was ready and prepared to die. I'm not joking. Then I drove myself to the ER. I have NO idea how I was able to do this because I felt like I had gone completely insane. How I drove safely is beyond me. Also, during the peak of this horror story, after realizing that I probably wasn't going to die, I thought I'd for sure have to commit suicide because I thought for sure my brain had been fried and I would be this way for the rest of my existence. My heart felt like it was going to explode. 6 hours of hell felt like 2 weeks. Time slowed down to a crawl.

All I can say is there's NO way there wasn't some crazy interaction with zoloft. That is NOT anything typical of getting high.

You are risking the most creepy, scary, intensely negative experience possible if you do the two together.

I've been taking zoloft for about 2 years... and smoked pot almost daily during that time without any weird side effects... i guess everybody's different and some people will react negatively, but i think in most "normal" cases, there isn't much of an issue... also, i think some people may just react badly to pot in general and might think it's caused by zoloft (or any other drug they're taking)

I had tried weed on a couple of occasion and things were perfectly normal for me.
I then smoked weed while i had been on zoloft for a week or so. For the first 5 minutes the high i got was incredibly brilliant, much more extreme than the normal thing. After that i started to dehydrate a lot, my mouth went completely dry, my friends took me out in open air and made me walk. My pulse rate started rising gradually and it reached upto 165-170. I was sure My friends made me drink around 7 litres of glucose and electrolyte, that really helped me a lot. The pain finally reduced and shifted to other parts of the body. After 3 hours i was still high and it felt really good again..lol..i enjoyed it as much as i could as i knew that i was never going to do it again. The next day i still had some weird sensations and stuff in the chest and then it gradually started to get as bad as the previous days incident. This time i went to the doc and got some heart tests done on me and things turned out normal. Its been more than 2 weeks now and i still get weird some weird sensations in my body, not at all painful tho. Docs say its just psychological.
I would suggest that one shouldnt mix these two, its just not worth the risk, especially if you are the type who worries too much. I think that if i had kept my cool i wouldnt have gone through all this but i am the type who gets shit scared that ill get malaria if a mosquito bites me.

Just last night I actually had a seizure and passed out after smoking weed and i am currently taking 100 mg of Zoloft i just got back on it 2 days ago. I was sitting with some friends watching a movie and all of a sudden i felt really dizzy and i knew what was going on when i felt it because Ive had it several times in the past but this time it got worse and worse until i stood up to go outside and i opened the door than woke up on the floor my friend told me my hand was shaking uncontrollably. i stood up and went outside then woke up in the front yard about five minutes later i was okay but it scared the hell outta me and im sure it was the Zoloft and marijuana mixture.

I have had absolutely no problems with Zoloft and marijuana mixed. It feels exactly the same.

I don't have any real reasons to be on Zoloft except for my mother thinking I'm afraid to leave the house and because insurance pays for all of it.

"No effects with LSD...."
It limits the effects, so I have heard.

I've been on zoloft for over two years now. I was never a smoker before i started taking zoloft but that has changed in the last year, I have never had problems with anything and if anything i am so focused and in tune with everything, sometimes I go and work out and run 3 miles! It's crazy...

I've done X twice since being on zoloft and it has zero affect on me...waste of my time.

I have been taking 150 mgs of ZOLOFT everyday for the past 3 or 4 years. I have also been smoking marijuana regularly during these years. I have had no bad side affects on the drug (beside the munchies...lol) I have recently quit and have noticed that i do not sleep as well as i did and i am very anxious...all the time!...ZSome people can smoke, some people cant. However, i do not drink because I usually get sick when i do. I think that ZOLOFT has a higher interaction with alcohol than with weed...still, if you are a first time user, be careful!

I didnt start taking zoloft til about 6 months ago i was in a state of despair i talked to my friend and he just got back from amsterdam he is a master mind and brought me back a nick and i had never done that much before so i got blazed and i liked it so i kept smoking...

then i wanted to try to go on an anti depressant so i started taking zoloft

and i believe that every person is different and their reaction to every drug depends on your phycological makeup, so how you react is going to be different. mine is awesome it has made me a different person, i love it and plz have a good life all of you plz be safe.

If you have just started zoloft and havent smoked on it yet be careful. A friend of mine and i are both on zoloft, she started before me. She smokes a lot of pot, and when i started zoloft she told me it would be fine. It actually made her feel awesome mixing, So after a few weeks of being on the meds i smoked a few bowls. Within minutes i started puking my brains out, then my vision went white and i dropped to the floor. I dont remember a thing but i guess i blacked out and had a seizure. IT WAS AWFUL WHEN I FINALLY REALIZED. my heart was racing and it felt like cold and frozen in my chest. i was in a cold sweat and didnt know where i was. i called 911 because my heart was going uncontrollably fast and i was convulsing. it was definitely the mixing because i have smoked a lot of pot before and never had a bad reaction. seriously be careful. you never know how you'll react.
