megavitamin therapy for psychotic behaviors?

My cousin has schizophreniform disorder. She has just been diagnosed. I’m not sure what kind of treatment she will get but I heard that megavitamin therapy can be very effective for this condition. Can somebody tell me something more about megavitamin therapy for psychotic behaviors? Is it really useful? Thanks!

Megavitamin therapy is the usage of very large doses of vitamins or other naturally occurring substances normally present in the body, frequently for the treatment of mental disorders. My friend was treated with megavitamin therapy and he is much better now. Now he can take lower doses of tranquilizers and avoid most of their side effects.
