I am 44 years old. I got the depo injection once 6 months ago. I am still spotting or bleeding almost everyday, sometimes latley I have blood clots. Could this be premenopause? I also have been tired and moody. Could this still be from the injection, it only is suppose to last for 3 months. About 5 years ago I had the depo injection and got no period at all.

Hi! I have been on depo for a year now and I have no periods. I eckon this is normal because ovulation doesn’t occur, so there’s no period either. I don’t have any side effects from it now but I used to suffer from abdominal pain before.

I honestly don’t think that depo is stll working on you but it could be that you’re experiencing lack of estrogen being 44. I know how irritable my mom was when this started happening.

Anyway, if you’re not sure, you can always go and have your hormonal levels checked.
Have you started sweating excessively or having troubles sleeping like women usually do when menopause starts setting in?

Hi, I am 53 years old, I am on Vivelle dot. So far things are good . My moods have really improved. Oh, I should tell you in 1989 I had a vaginal hysterectomy and was left with one ovary. presently, It was really hard for the doctor and myself to find out what was wrong with me since I am being treated for depression at the same time all this was happening. I was crying for no reason at the drop of a hat and very moody. We were thinking the antidepressants weren't working. Then I started getting hot flashes at night and not sleeping well. So we tried the patch and it was amazing how fast it worked! It's so nice to feel good again! Sincerely, Pam
