I take oral Methotrexate, dose of 25 mg a week. I haven't had any surgeries and I am hoping to stay away from it if possible. They watch my liver enzymes closely as well. I get my blood checked once a month. Before was once a week and then every two weeks. I think my doctor was right when he said that injections have a better success rate, but I hate needles so I can't imagine me giving myself shots. I know it's not that big a deal but I am chicken. Only side effects I think I have from this med is felling of tiredness.

I am feeling pretty good since I switched on the methotrexate. Methotrexate seems to be making me really tired and I even felt weak. I’ve been on it for 9 months and there were no other side effects. I get it on Friday mornings, but I am usually tired the week end and sometimes get sick to my tummy. I am glad you do not need any surgeries. I am sure I would have liked not to have even one but I had no choice. I hope you never have to have any. Wish me luck!
