I have noticed that after my menstrual cycle ends I have a migraine the next day and over the counter aids do not seem to help. Is this common among women or just a coincidence on my part?[/code]

Migraines are common around menstruation. The hormones can be a little much for the body sometimes.

A great way to handle migraines is feverfew. (Do NOT take this herb if you're pregnant or trying to get pregnant.) It won't help with your migraine at the time. Instead, it's a preventative measure. You can start taking it the day before or a couple of days before and you're likely to either not get a migraine or to get one that isn't so violent.
