Hi there! I had a root canal a year ago and the pressure on my molar is still present. Now, I know that a root canal procedure is sometimes just not enough to heal the tooth and that apicoectomy is needed. How does a dentist realize if I need the procedure or not? Thx
Hello! There should be radiographic evidence that an apicoectomy is appropriate. This appears as a dark area of bone at the tip of the root. A dentist should study the signs and let you know if the procedure is necessary or not.
